Martine was in Amsterdam for the 10th anniversary of the Digital FESPA show. She was pleased to share her views and insights of the event with us.

Hello Martine, could you briefly introduce yourself to our readers?

I am Martine Bouvet, business engineer, graduated from "HEC" Liège, Belgium. I held several positions within Mactac Europe since 1992. I am curently Market and Development Manager.

The Digital FESPA edition 2016 took place in Amsterdam from 8th to 11th of march, this year. Mactac Europe was there with a lot of novelties. What did you take away from this show?

Fespa Digital is a key event. On a technology fast moving market it is key to be in touch with converters so to understand and listen to their expectations, supporting them in their challenges. We had the chance to meet with more than 600 visitors and share with them our know how; explain product features and unique selling points.

Mactac Europe presented, amongst others new products, the MACdot, the WallChalker and live demos of WallWrap. How would you qualify the feedback from the visitors? Has it met all your expectations?

As Short-term advertising digital media is the most growing market segment, we have re-designed and enlarged our 2016 portfolio proposing the right balance between the needed performances and the right price.

We also wanted to confirm our leading position in architectural graphics. We have been the first company launching self-adhesive printing media for concrete and brick wall advertising.

The design of our both was definitely emphasizing and showing the numerous possibilities for interior design and advertisement rather than focusing on vehicle graphics. That has been catching interest and curiosity of our visitors.

Have you had the opportunity to visit the show? If so, which innovations / conferences stood out the most to you?

We promoted and participated at the Printeriors 2016 Conference as we see a big interest on the interior decoration.

The Conference was interesting as it covered a lot of topics from Design Trends in 2017 to Real Examples of applications and techniques, with interesting topics like Multi-Sensory Design, Brand Building, Glass, Ceramic and PVC use in the interior decoration.

Will Mactac Europe be there next year? If so, could you tease us about some new applications presented at that moment?

We aim to be present next year. It will be a "global VISCOM" FESPA (not only Digital). We will consequently adapt the market application focus and present new products for long-term outdoor application.

Some of them being already release in June like MACal 9300 and new tuning films Black Diamont and Flexchrome.

Mactac is recognized by its customers as a leading brand. The converters appreciate our product quality, durability and our large portfolio. Between 6 to 8% of our sales are made with new products (products that have less than 2 years).

We will for sure come with additional innovative products but we prefer to keep a certain kind of surprise / suspense.
